A militant was killed on Sunday in an ongoing encounter between government forces and militants in north Kashmir’s Handwara, police said.
The encounter broke out after militants attacked a police post in Handwara. The killed militant was yet to be identified, police said, adding some arms and ammunition were also seized from the site.
