Traffic to ply from Jammu to Srinagar tomorrow

Traffic Department in a statement said that subject to fair weather and road condition, tomorrow on 19.11.2018, traffic movement on the Jammu- Srinagar NHW-44 would be one way for both LMV’s/HMV’s which shall be allowed to move from Jammu towards Srinagar.
As per the statement
LMVs shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Srinagar from 0400 hours to 1200 hours and shall cross Jakheni Udhampur up to 1400 hours.

No movement of any LMVs shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Srinagar after 1200 hours and from Jakheni Udhampur after 1400 hours to avoid congestion on the NHW/ safety of the passengers. The commuters are requested/advised that avoid travelling during night hours.

HMVs/Load Carriers shall be allowed from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar from1400 hours up to 2400 hours.

These vehicles shall not be allowed to halt between Nashree Tunnel to Jawahar Tunnel. No movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed after 2400 hours from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar.
No movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed from opposite direction.

MUGHAL ROAD
Subject to fair weather and clearance of road by the road maintenance agency, tomorrow on 19.11.2018, movement of traffic on Mughal road shall be allowed from Shopian towards Buffliaz. Movement of these vehicles from Herpora (Shopian) shall be allowed from 0900 hours to 1600 hours only and shall be allowed in close coordination with concerned District Police

SRINAGAR-SONAMARG-GUMARI ROAD:-
Subject to fair weather and road condition, tomorrow on 19.11.2018 the vehicles stranded from Kargil side shall be allowed from Minimarg towards Sonamarg firstly and there after stranded vehicles from Srinagar side shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Minimarg.

Strict implementation of traffic plan/cut off timing shall be ensured.

The statement said people are requested to undertake journey only after confirming status of the road

Mughal road:- from TCU Jammu/Srinagar and
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road:- from TCU Srinagar.
They shall also contact SSP Traffic NHW Ramban (8082895567)/ Rural Jammu (9419110071)/ Rural Kashmir (9419007686); Dy.SsP Traffic Udhampur/Reasi (9419138613)/ Ramban (9419284962)/ Banihal (9858512348)/ Kulgam-Qazigund (9697009080)/ Pulwama-Shopian (9419045533)/ Poonch-Rajouri (9419114087) and Ganderbal-Bandipora (9419059765) in case of any assistance enroute.
