One dead, two others injured in road accident in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Srinagar: One person died while two others sustained serious injuries after a two-wheeler they were riding on, met an accident in Bijbehara area of southern Kashmir’s Islamabad district Tuesday evening.

Eyewitnesses said that Sameer Ahmed, son of Aijaz Ahmed Bhat was riding a Scooty along with two of his friends when the scooty collided with an Auto on Veer-Nowbugh road near Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to all three.

They said that the three were taken to sub-District Hospital Bijbehara, from where Sameer was referred to district hospital Islamabad. However Sameer succumbed to injuries and other his two friends who were identified as Muneeb Farooq Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat and Faizal Ahmad Bhat, son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Anchidora Islamabad are being treated in the hospital.
