Gunfight rages in Pulwama village

A gunfight broke out between militants and Government forces in South Kashmir’s Pulwama village early this morning.

Reports said that gunfight broke out at Bun-Hanjin area of Rajpora in Pulwama after searching party of Army’, Special Operation Group of Police (SOG  and CRPF was attacked by hiding militants which triggering an encounter in the area.

The search operation was launched Jointly by Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles, 182 and 183 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force and Jammu Kashmir Police following inputs about the presence of militants movement in the area officials said.

When last reports came in firing from both sides was on.

Pertinently sources said that two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
