Srinagar, January 05: Amid some gunshots forces launched cordon and search operation in Aripal area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday morning.
Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of army’s 42RR, 180 CRPF and SOG Awantipora launched cordon and search operation in Aripal after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
A senior Police official told GNS that we have cordoned off the suspected spot where the militants are hiding however no exchange of firing has taken place yet.
As per the sources one militant is believed to be trapped.
Meanwhile internet has been suspended in the Pulwama district.(GNS)
