MeT predicts snowfall from Thursday to Sunday

Srinagar, Jan 10, : There will be a spell of snowfall across Kashmir Valley till Sunday, MeT Department said adding that the spell of snow will start from Thursday evening.

  Jammu Kashmir recently witnessed a massive snowfall that led to the disruption of life.

    “A western disturbance (WD) is approaching Jammu and Kashmir. Under its influence, another spell of intermittent rain and snow is likely from today evening till January 13,” an official of the MET Department said.

   Director Meteorology Sonam Lotus in a tweet said that people should expect snow spell from10th evening to 13th (Forenoon) in at most places of Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh especially Kargil district with main activity on 11-12th of January. “This may led to temporary disruption of surface and air transportation mainly on Saturday,” Lotus said.
