Worsen electricity scenario triggers protest in Tral

 

SRINAGAR, JAN 18 : Scores of residents of Tral today protested against the non-availability of electricity in Sub District Tral. The protest was organised by Citizen Council Tral chairman Farooq Trali.

People assembled near J&K bank Aabghar Tral and protested against PDD. The protesters said that they are reeling under darkness and with the onset of chilai kalaan. “The electricity scenario has worsens .Despite paying large amount to PDD, the said Department is treating us step motherly and no one from the PDD department is looking our miseries and problems that we are facing”, protesters said.

Later a meeting was held at the premises of ADC office Tral between locals and the officials of PDD department .Officials assured that electricity will be provided as per schedule. The protesters conveyed to the officials that if supply is not provided as per schedule then indefinite strike will be announced. (PTK)
