Seven persons including mother-daughter injured in gas cylinder blast in Kupwara

Kupwara, Jan 20 : Seven persons including mother-daughter on Sunday were injured in a gas cylinder blast in North Kashmir’s Karnah sector of Kupwara district.

Reports reaching local news agency said that seven persons including a 50 year old woman and her daughter were injured in a gas cylinder blast in Karnah when suddenly a gas cylinder blast rocked inside the house of Mohammad Ismail Shiekh.

However all the injured were rushed to nearby hospital where doctors referred them SDH Tangdar for advance treatment.

Meanwhile, hospital authorities also confirmed the incident and identified all the injured as Fareeda Begum (50)wife of Mohammad Ismail Shiekh her daughter Haseena Ismail (18), Kifayat Naseer (17) son of Naseer Ahmed, Mushaid Naseer (10) son of Naseer Ahmed, Shahid Nabi (13) son of Ghulam Nabi, Rizwan Khursheed (8) son of Khursheed Ahmad and Sayer Ahmed (23) all residents of Karnah sector of Kupwara.

The condition of all the injured are said to be stable.

Meanwhile police took cognizance of this incident. (GNS)
