Army allegedly thrashes Imam who led funeral of slain suicide bomber

Army on Friday night allegedly thrashed a Prayer leader and his Son-in-law in south Kashmir’s Shopian district during nocturnal raid.

News agency quoted that at around 3 am on Friday night forces barged into the house of Molvi Mohammad Ahsan in Wathoo Shirmal area and beaten him ruthlessly and his son-in-law Mufti Sheeraz.

However both injured according to family were rushed to local hospital for treatment.

Senior superintendent of Police (SSP) Shopian Sandeep Choudhary, when conatced news agency said, I don’t have any information about the incident. He however said that police will verify the incident.
