PDP workers ‘terrorizing’ other party workers in Diver: Qaisar Lone

Srinagar, Apr 14 : Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLC Qaisar Jamsheed Lone has alleged that PDP workers are harassing and terrorizing workers of JKNC and other parties in Diver Lolab.

“After miserably failing in fighting us electorally and their failed attempt of booth capturing in Diver, PDP workers are harassing and beating our party workers and other parties,” Lone said in a statement.

He also condemned the attack on Congress Parliamentary candidate Baramulla constituency Haji Farooq Ahmed by PDP workers at polling station in Diver Lolab.

“Imagine if they can attack and manhandle a candidate who has security, what sense of security will our party workers have,” he said.

“I want to congratulate the district administration for ensuring free and fair elections throughout Lolab, particularly in Diver, where booth capturing had become a norm,” he added.

He also appealed to the district administration for looking into the matter of political workers from different parties being threatened and harassed, “even now after the polling has ended and ensure their safety”.
