Srinagar, April 26 : A policeman was injured critically after militants attacked a police party near Police Post Chanapora in Srinagar district of central Kashmir on Friday evening.
Official sources told that the militants opened fire upon the police party. In the incident, a policeman suffered critical injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
SDPO Sadder Shabir Khan also confirmed the attack and injuries to one cop.
Sources said that the militants after carrying out the attack managed to escape from the area.
Soon after the attack, government forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants. (GNS)
