Two Twin Brothers Killed In Kokernag Cloudburst

Anantnag, May 13: Two twin brothers were killed after a cloudburst hit forest area of Pahroo in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.

Reports reaching said that the cloudburst struck the Pahroo area while herding sheep in the jungle.

The deceased have been identified as Arif Ahmad Lone and Sameer Ahmad Lone, sons of Mohd Ibrahim Lone.

Reports said a number of sheep have also been killed in the natural calamity.

SDM Kokernag Owais Mushtaq confirmed the killing of twin brothers and said that the administration is facing difficulties in bringing the bodies towards their native village for the last rites.

He said that two other persons had a miraculous escape.

Soon after the incident, a police team, local volunteers besides officials from administration reached the spot and are trying to bring the bodies back. (GNS)
