Kulgam shocker: Body of newborn found in decomposed state Kashmir

 

In a shocking incident, a newborn baby, who is believed to have been abandoned by her parents, was found dead and decomposed by police in Wanpoh area on south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

News agency quoted that the infant, which had been kept in a bag was abandoned across the road at Wanpoh opposite J&K Bank.

News agency quoted SHO Police Post Mir Bazar, Mohammad Iqbal, as saying that the baby girl had died when police reached the spot.

“A case has been registered under relevant sections of law and further investigations were taken up,” he said.

Meanwhile, politicians, many people associated with the health department have condemned the act and sought the authorities’ intervention in this regard.
