Kashmir highway reopens for traffic after four days

The Srinagar-Jammu Highway was Friday reopened for traffic after remaining closed for four days due to landslides and snowfall.

“The Jammu-Srinagar highway reopened for vehicular traffic and vehicles were allowed from Srinagar to Jammu,” said SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir.

“The men and machines of BRO worked round-the-clock and cleared the blockade on the 300-km-long highway,” he said.

He added that no vehicle is allowed to travel from Jammu to Srinagar.
