Police files FIR against SDM, Patwari in Uri

Tehsil office employees go on strike

Srinagar, Feb 08 :  The Tehsil Office in border town Uri on Saturday remained closed for work as all the employees of the office went on strike after tussle between revenue department and police over the illegal construction in Bandi area of border town.

Reports reaching to news agency that Revenue Department have recently demolished an illegal construction in the area and the police have registered a case against the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and Pathwari of the area.

The employees of the area went on strike against the police for registering the FIR against the officer and Pathwari. They were demanding immediate revocation of the FIR against the duo. They threatened to extend the strike if FIR is not revoked at earliest.  


Residents of Uri said they are facing lot of difficulties due to the tussle between two departments.  (KNS).
