Illicit Timber seized from Forest Official’s house in Handwara:Police

Srinagar,Feb 24 (KNS): Handwara police on Monday claimed to have seized an illicit timber from house of Forest employee in Kukroosa village of Handwara.

In a statement issued to KNS reads, On the basis of reliable information Police station Vllgam seized about 26 cft illicit timber at Kukroosa from the premises of the house of Reyaz Ahmed Shah

In this connection
FIR no 05/2020 u/s 379 IPC , 26 IF Act stands registered and investigation has been taken up.Seeing the Police team approaching the accused fled away from the spot the statement said.

The accused person is employee of the forest department and is still absconding.(KNS)
