Centre will come up domicile law within a week time: Bukhari

Srinagar, Mar 17: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday said that within a week’s time the central government will come up with a concrete plan about domicile rights of people of J&K. He said that during the meeting with PM Modi in New Delhi, the delegation represented people in the true sense and urged GoI to release all political detainees without any delay.


According to news agency, Bukhari who recently met PM Modi in New Delhi along with dozens of party leaders said during the meet his group discussed future roadmap of J&K. He said that during meetings with PM Modi and HM Amit Shah, he took issues faced by people of J&K after August 5, 2019 when New Delhi scrapped special status of J&K under Article 370.


Bukhari stated that we tried to take up apprehensions of people of the state regarding domicile, land and job rights.
He hinted out that central government will come up within a week time to clear such apprehensions.


He added that JKAP delegation was told by central government that J&K will be at par from rest of the countries.
When asked further, he said we will share each and every detail with media in an appropriate time.


H added during the meetings with union leadership, the delegation urged the early release of all political leaders and activists in which victory of democracy lies.


Meanwhile party sources told that due to Corona Virus scare and imposition of Section 144 in Jammu, the press conference which was scheduled on March 17 could be deferred. (KNS)
