IGP Kashmir asks govt staff dealing essential services to get passes issued from DCs

Srinagar, March 26 : Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar has urged “operational staff of essential services” to get passes issued from the office of concerned Deputy Commissioners in Kashmir Valley immediately.

Talking to news agency, IGP Vijay Kumar (IPS) said only departmental Identity Cards won’t be accepted at police and CAPFs Nakas. He also urged them to stay nearest to their place of work and curtail inter district movements.

The appeal comes as the administration is imposing strict restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The administration has already announced the closure of all government offices, barring those dealing with essential services, till April 14.  (GNS)
