Srinagar Police arrests three gamblers

April 16: Srinagar Police have arrested 03 gamblers from Bemina area, stake money and playing cards have also been recovered.

A police party from Police Post Bemina raided a gambling site following an input about gambling activities and apprehended three gamblers identified as Fayaz Ahmad Katjoo,  Manzoor Ahmad Goroo and  Noor Mohd Dar  all residents of Bemina Srinagar for gambling offences.

Officers have seized playing cards and stake amount of ₹3,010/- from the gamblers.

Case FIR No. 54/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Parimpora.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
