Two thieves caught red handed by Bandipora Police

Srinagar, June 06 (KINS): The police Saturday said that they have caught two thieves red handed after noticed suspicious movement near a shop in main market Bandipora.  

The police in a statement issued to news agency KINS said that during the intervening night of 05/06 June 2020, a patrolling party of Police Station Bandipora noticed some suspicious movement near a shop in main market Bandipora.

Police party immediately reached the spot and apprehended two thieves red handed. They have been identified as Sameer Ahmad resident of Kaloosa and Mehjoor Majeed resident of Bagh Bandipora. Motorcycle used in the commission of crime was also seized from their possession. They have been shifted to PS Bandipora where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 60/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.

Later, these vigilant police officials were rewarded by SSP Bandipora for their exemplary swiftness in catching the thieves red handed durin+g night hours.(KINS)
