Private hospitals offer 19 beds for Gynae surgeries

ANANTNAG, JUNE 10: As many as seven private nursing homes have volunteered 19 beds for conducting gynae surgeries in Anantnag district.

This was disclosed at a meeting of private hospital owners, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Anantnag Mr. K.K. Sidha.

The meeting was informed that the facility will be used by superintendent MCCH, and in case of non-availability of beds in Government MCCH Hospital he will make the necessary staff available.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the voluntary gesture of private nursing homes. He said coordinative and cordial efforts are needed to tide over the challenge thrown by COVID-19 pandemic.

He said administration is focused on containing the spike of COVID-19 disease and several decisions were afoot to flatten the curve besides no pregnant lady should suffer due to the negligent approach of any medical professional, who he said had to rise to the occasion and fight the disease with consistency.
