Day 2 : Rescue operation continue to locate another drowned youth in Ganderbal

Srinagar, July 03(KINS) : Search and rescue operation enters into second day to locate the other body of drowned youth from the river Sindh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.

Rashid Ahmad a Srinagar resident has not been traced yet after he drowned with his friend in river Sindh when they were bathing.

A police official told Kashmir Indepth News Service(KINS) that National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams and local authorities are on job to trace the body of other drowned youth.Officer said that we have resumed search and rescue operation again today morning to trace the youth as operation was suspended yesterday evening due to darkness.

Pertinently, on Sunday two boys drowned in nallah Sindh at Kichpora Kangan while bathing.

Locals present there raised an alarm, following which a team of police reached there and carried out a rescue operation, however on Monday morning teams retrieved the body of one Zahid Farooq from river Sindh.(KINS)
