August 05: Yesterday two boys from Bandipora were drowned in Madhumati stream in the afternoon. After hearing the cries from crowd, policemen deployed in DPL Bandipora rushed to the spot. Ct. Fayaz Ahmad immediately dived in gushing waters and successfully rescued one boy who has been shifted to hospital but unfortunately another boy couldn’t be saved. Ct. Fayaz Ahmad was assisted by CT. Jahangir Ahmad and Follower Tahir Bhat of DPL Bandipora.
