Srinagar, August 14: Two policemen succumbed to their Injuries while another is undergoing treatment officials said.
Giving more details about the incident official said suspected gunmen attacked a police party at Nowgam Bypass area of Srinagar on Friday morning.
He said in the attack three cops were seriously injured and were taken to nearby hospital where from two among succumbed to their injuries.
A police officer also confirmed about the killing of two cops in the attack and identified them as Ishfaq Ahmad and Fayaz Ahmad.
Speaking about the incident IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said,Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit carried out the attack on Police party at Nowgam Srinagar”
Meanwhile, whole area has been sealed by forces to nab the attackers.
