Shopian, Aug 28: Two militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter that broke out between government forces and militants in Killora area of Shopian in South Kashmir.
An official told KINS that in the initial stage of gunfight two militants were killed while operation in the area is in process.
A police officer also confirmed the killing of two militants in an ongoing gunfight to KINS, he however, said the identification of both slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier in the day, a joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF sealed Kiloora Shopian following inputs about presence of militants.
