LG Manoj Sinha asks officials to give due attention to genuine needs of people

Srinagar, Sep 04 (KINS): The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has advised the administration to give due attention to the genuine needs of people in the current scenario.


Sources told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that LG told the officials that the common man should not suffer for getting even small services. “People have high expectations from the government and there is need to make positive changes on the ground rather than limiting them to papers only,” sources quoiting LG having told the heads of the departments.


Meanwhile sources said that LG was given an assessment of the prevailing security situation in the Union territory wherein he laid stress on realtime coordination between security forces and agencies for ensuring safety of the people.


The Lieutenant Governor has also stressed on the need to ensure safety of the general public.
Sources said that Lieutenant Governor further emphasised on the need for constant alertness, preparedness and synergy among various departments and agencies to enable dealing with an emerging situation in a coordinated and effective manner.


“The LG reiterated the need to constantly maintain a close watch on the ground situation and underlined the importance of sustained efforts to bring peace and harmony in the society for the overall benefit of people,” sources maintained.


Sources said that the LG lauded the role of Police and CRPF in maintaining law and order and ensuring security in J&K and advised heightened surveillance on all fronts to ensuring safety and security of the people.


Sources said that top officials have also briefed the LG about the present internal security situation and many important matters relating to law and order in J&K.


Sources said that he also emphasised upon the vital importance of regular review the security of all protected premises and also discussed various issues relating to welfare of security personnel and their families.(KINS)
