Srinagar police facilitates Police Public interaction meetings

Srinagar, Sep 29 (KINS):As a part of public outreach programme, Police public interaction meetings were facilitated by Srinagar Police at Police Station Maisuma and Kothibagh while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

These meetings were chaired by SDPO Kothibagh and SHO concerned respectively. These meetings were attended by trade members of Lal chowk, Court Road, Amirakadal, Koker Bazar, Regal Chowk and Polo View.

During the meetings, the participants raised various issues including parking facilities, traffic diversions etc. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.

The participants were also assured that police is working continuously to curb the offences and requested to extend their cooperation in eradicating other social crimes from the area. The main aim of these meetings is to facilitate interaction with community members and redress their grievances so as to create cordial police-public relationship.

The participants in these meetings assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and adherence to the guidelines as well as health advisories issued by civil administration & health department from time to time in view of Covid-19 pandemic. The participants also appreciated the efforts of police for facilitating such meetings where participants express their views freely.(KINS)
