Srinagar Oct 30 (KINS): District level Centre For Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Kishtwar today conducted an Awareness Program on the women centric schemes, here at AWC Bunastan.
The Programme was attended by AWWs, Anganwadi Helpers, and Students, besides local womenfolk.
On the occasion, the MSK team made the participants aware regarding BBBP Abhiyan , Sukanaya Samridhi Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojna, Ujwala scheme, One Stop Centre, Women safety laws, Women Helpline 181 and other women welfare schemes. They were also educated about the dangerous consequences of declining of Child sex ratio.
The MSK team also laid emphasis on the importance of education among girl students. They also urged girl parents to allow their girls to get a proper education, as education is the best way to empower them and the society as a whole.
The participants were also sensitised about hazards of drugs under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign. They were told about the threat the drugs and other intoxicants pose to the society.(KINS)
