DC Kathua inspects Covid Control measures at Lakhanpur


KATHUA, MARCH 19: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav today inspected the covid control measures in Lakhanpur corridor and took first hand appraisal about the implementation of necessary SOPs and other facilities for smooth and safe entry of travelers.
Nodal Officer, Lakhanpur facilitation Center (DC State Taxes) Ranjit Singh apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the protocols and SOP’s being followed at Lakhanpur corridor, issued by the government from time to time.
Referring to the recent rise in Covid-19 cases in some states, the Deputy Commissioner asked the medical authorities to take all precautionary measures and ensure RTPC testing of travelers coming from states especially Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat and other states which witnessed surge in Covid-19 in recent times.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the CMO Kathua to work out a plan to cater to the increased influx of travelers, keeping in view the upcoming Amaranth Yatra-2021.
He also visited Traveler Mart, Control Room, Testing lab, Truck and Bus Yards and other counters established at Lakhanpur facilitation centre.
ADC Atul Gupta, CMO Ashok Chaudhary, Dy. CMO Dr Neeraj Nagpal, Nodal Officer, Sampling and Collection Centre Lakhanpur, Dr Sandeep Raina were also present on the occasion.
