UDHAMPUR, JULY 09( KINS): A joint meeting of District Development Council and Block Development Council members, besides Sarpanches of Latti Marothi and Chenani Blocks was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib here at Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex to discuss the development issues of their respective areas.
The PRIs of the twin blocks thanked the DC for fulfilling the long pending demand of upgrading and blacktopping the 43 year Dudu road. On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, the concerned departments Viz PWD and PMGSY have started the five kilometer Macadamization work from Mantalai to Bupp and 15 kilometer Black topping work from Bupp to Sira under PMGSY. On the other side 14 kilometers of blacktopping work from Dudu under PWD has also been taken up on war footing.
PRIs also thanked the DC for starting the SRTC Bus from Katra to Latti and direct Jammu which was a long pending demand of the public of Latti and Dudu. The PRIs appealed to DC for starting more such bus services for the convenience of the people of the area. ( KINS)
