Vaccination process on for 18-44 Years Age Group: DC Shopian

SHOPIAN, JULY 29 ( KINS ): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today said that the Covid-19 situation has significantly improved in the district with recovery rate increasing on daily basis and positive rate decreasing constantly.

The DC, however, cautioned against any laxity and added that District Administration appreciates the people of Shopian for their cooperation who by themselves came forward and got themselves vaccinated in due course of time and cautioned of 3rd wave, adding the Vaccination and Covid Appropriate Behavior are vital to avert the same.

Vaishya appealed to the people, Imams, Lumberdars and other representatives to strictly follow the SOPs and other guidelines and raise awareness among the fellow citizens to avoid the spread of the disease.

The DC made these remarks during a press briefing on COVID-19 scenario and the measures taken by the district to curb this menace.

He exhorted for continuing the ongoing vaccination process with full swing so that maximum people of 18 plus years of age group gets vaccinated well in time.

Sachin further said that the health and enforcement teams are working on ground to ensure the observance of CAB at markets and other crowded places in the district.

Hailing the dedication of every person involved in Covid mitigation, the DC stressed for sustained efforts to curb the pandemic effectively. ( KINS )
