Arrangements for I-Day celebration reviewed at Ganderbal

 

GANDERBAL, JULY 31 (KINS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for smooth celebration of forth-coming Independence Day-2021 function, at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat here.

It was informed that the main function shall be held at Qamaria Ground, Ganderbal where the Chief Guest will hoist the National Flag and will take salute on the march-past to be presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services and NCC.

Special Cultural programmes shall also be presented which will be followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

Various necessary arrangements were discussed in the meeting including security plan, drinking water facility, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangement, traffic management and power supply besides others at the venue.

The DC on the occasion directed all district heads to ensure adherence to Covid-19 guidelines by maintaining prescribed spacing in seating arrangements for the participants during the function.

The KPDCL and Jal Shakti departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply besides the Health department was ordered to deploy doctors and paramedics along with Ambulance and first aid at the venue.

The DC, while impressing upon the officers to show coordination, stressed that the committees already formulated will finalize all the arrangements before 13th August, the day of full dress rehearsal.

Among others the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Muzafar Ahmad, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmed Baba, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers of various wings besides other district and sector level officers and officials. (KINS)
