Mir Junaid calls upon LG, Discusses important issues

Srinagar Aug 16 ( KINS ) : The President of Jammu Kashmir Workers Party Mir Junaid called upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj SInha today at Raj Bhawan.
In an hour long meeting Mir Junaid raised multiple issues of public concern with the LG.
Mir took up the issue of the bad condition of the interior roads of Srinagar city and also the lack of a comprehensive sports infrastructure in the valley. Mir also discussed the concerns of the people of Langate and District Kupwara where many projects are stuck due to the laxity of the bureaucracy.
Mir also discussed the scenario of outside investment in the valley and stressed upon its need for the faster development of the region. Mir also congratulated the
LG for gaining the trust of the common people and told him that the commoners have found hope in the manner the administration has been working public welfare over the last two years.
Mir stressed on the need of promoting democratic participation among people for the realization of Naya Kashmir and asked the LG to make sure that the schemes announced by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the people get to reach the grassroots of the region so that everyone can reap benefits of these schemes.
The Lieutenant Governor heard Mir patiently and assured him of action on the points raised by him. Mir Junaid thanked the LG for his time and also appreciated the Governments efforts of public outreach and the unprecedented celebration of Independence Day across Jammu and Kashmir. (KINS)
