3 Rajouri Youth representing J&K in North-Eastern Karate Championship

RAJOURI, SEPT 28 ( KINS): In a bid to promote the sports culture and to encourage youth in sports activities, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri today felicitated three local youths Adil Mehmood; Vipul Sharma and Husnain Ahmed, who will represent Jammu and Kashmir in ensuing Northeastern National Level Karate Championship.

While interacting with them, the Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration Rajouri is committed to providing the best possible platform to the youth of the district to enable them showcase their caliber in sports.

He urged the youth to play the game with sportsmanship spirit and enthusiasm and give the best of their abilities.

The Deputy Commissioner said that to effectively support and encourage young individuals in meeting their potential and aspirations, an ambitious program called mission youth has been launched in the UT.

“Similarly, to effectively support young people to shape their future as per their aspirations, a number of other schemes have also been launched”, the DC said.

He said that the District Administration is holding regular talks with the youth of the district through social networks to understand their concerns and best possible efforts are being made to redress their genuine grievances in a time bound manner.

The DC also informed that the District Administration has initiated the process of constructing playfields in every Panchayat of the district with an aim to provide space to the youth to involve themselves in sports related activities.Bilal Rashid Mir, DSEO was also present. ( KINS)
