Congress organises youth convention at Rajouri

Rajouri May 23: Congress leader Bilal Rashid organised one day youth convention in Dak Bungalow Rajouri where number of youth were assembled to discuss issues related to youth in particular and Pir Panjal region in general.

JKPCC SM Executive Member and Research Scholar Bilal Rashid who hails from district Rajouri’s village Dhanore raised issue of drug addiction in Rajouri which has consumed number of lives in the area and by each passing day more youngsters are falling in this death trap. He brought into the notice of administration that strict policy should be adopted to keep youth safe from drugs and police and civil society should work together to stop this drug trade in Pir Panjal region.

He spoke in detail about the failure of Narendra Modi-government in controlling inflation and fulfilling promises he had made. 

He requested youth to support and trust Congress leadership from grassroot to national level and said only Congress can save the idea of India where each individual can live life with dignity. 

He promised that Congress will stop this growing inflation and will adopt public friendly policies where everyone can get equal benifit and not few crony capitalists will eat up the weath of tax payers. He raised the issue of infrastructure and road construction in district Rajouri where roads connecting Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University to district headquarters is in worst condition. 

“Work on Thanamandi Rajouri road need to be done with more pace so college, university, office going employees, workers and general public cannot suffer more. Newly established college buildings should be completed within a time bound manner so students and teacher can have more space and a proper environment to learn and discuss. Government should not only make false promises of making Naya Jammu and Kashmir but should work on creating more employment opportunities for unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Government should not come up with policies to re advertise posts of Rehbr e Khel, Rebhr e Jungalaat and Rehbr e Wazar, it is just another option to disempower youth of Jammu and Kashmir who have suffered enough during longest ever internet shutdowns and covid lockdown which followed,” he said.

 Others who spoke on the occasion were Madasar Ahmed (JKPYC GS) , Abrar Choudhary (DYC President Rajouri) , Rafeeq Hussain (AYC President Rajouri), Aquib Choudhary (Youth Leader), Ather Mehmood (Youth Leader), Hawnawaz Choudhary ( Youth Leader) , Pardeep Sharma, Waseem Choudhary , Saima Manir, Nadeem Saquib, Abrar Ul Haq, Sahil Sharma.
