JK UT Level Senior Chess Championship 2023 concludes

Srinagar June 20: The three day J&K UT level senior chess championship concluded at Srinagar Sports Club.

The Chess Championship was organized by All J&K Chess Association under the Aegis of J&K Sports Council. At the closing ceremony Mohammad Iqbal Manager SKISC was Chief Guest and distributed cash prizes and trophies to winners.

Besides other officials of Sports and other members of All J&K Chess Association were also present. Total 30 selected players were invited for this tournament from all over from UT. In which Soham Kamotra secured 1st position with cash prize of Rs.8000.00 , Sumit Grower  2nd position with cash prize of Rs.5000.00 , Mayank Kulkarni  secured 3rd position with cash prize of Rs.4000.00 ,  Asim Billah secured 4th position with cash prize of Rs.3000.00 , Mohamamd Aayan Khan secured 5th  position with cash prize of Rs.2000.00 & Aryan secured 6th  position with cash prize of Rs.1000.00 .The top 04 players will represent JK UT in 60th  SENIOR NATIONAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP– 2023  to be held at Maharashtra from 16-08-2023 to 26-08-2023
