Srinagar, Dec 10: In a significant operation, the CIK wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully dismantled an unregistered news portal named “Daily News & Analysis,” which sported a Pakistan flag logo.
As per the officials the portal had been under scrutiny for its dissemination of misleading information aimed at disturbing peace and tranquility in the region.
The CIK team, led by diligent officers, executed the operation that resulted in the apprehension of the portal’s administrators. The arrests were made in connection with the alleged propagation of false narratives that could potentially incite unrest.
Authorities have taken swift legal action against administrators for their role in spreading rumors and false information. The unregistered news portal, operating without the necessary legal approvals, had been a source of concern for its potential to influence public sentiment negatively.
