Samba police takes vigorous action, seizes 55 vehicles without number plates, unclaimed vehicles

Jammu, Dec 23: In a decisive move to ensure public safety and uphold traffic regulations, the Samba Police, under the leadership of SSP Benam Tosh, seized 55 vehicles found without proper number plates or left unclaimed. The crackdown is part of the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order on the roads.
Samba Police carried out a targeted operation to address the issue of vehicles operating without valid number plates or being left unattended for an extended period. The impounded vehicles varied in types, ranging from two-wheelers to four-wheelers.
SSP Samba Benam Tosh stated, “It is imperative to have proper identification on vehicles for the safety and security of the public. Vehicles without number plates not only violate traffic regulations but also pose a potential threat to the community.”
The seized vehicles will undergo thorough scrutiny to identify their owners, and stern legal action will be taken against those found responsible for violating the regulations. SSP Tosh emphasized that such measures are essential to deter unlawful practices and to create a safer environment for all residents.
Samba Police have urged the public to ensure their vehicles comply with the prescribed norms and warned that continued negligence in this regard will lead to stringent penalties. This proactive stance aligns with the commitment of law enforcement to create a secure and orderly atmosphere for the community.
