Srinagar, Jan 19: In a commendable effort to prioritize community well-being, the 46th Battalion CRPF successfully organized its fifth free medical camp, this time at the 46BN HQ in Sadura area, Anantnag. The camp, inaugurated by Syamal Bhowmik, Commandant (CCD) CRPF 46 Battalion Sadura, witnessed the active participation of R N Singh, Deputy Commandant 46Bn CRPF, and other officers from the unit.
The primary objective of the camp was to offer essential medical check-ups and distribute medicines to the local populace, with a special focus on catering to the needs of the elderly residents. A dedicated medical team, consisting of three doctors – two from PHC Qazigund nominated by BMO Qazigund and one from CRPF, provided free consultations and treatments to villagers attending the camp.
A total of 250 villagers from Sadura and its adjoining areas reaped the benefits of this healthcare initiative, receiving medical attention and necessary medications. The locals expressed gratitude for the CRPF’s continued efforts in extending healthcare services to those in need.
Commandant Syamal Bhowmik emphasized the CRPF’s unwavering commitment to enhancing community health. He expressed gratitude for the support received from local partners and announced the unit’s intention to conduct more Civic Action Programs in the future for the benefit of the local public.
Highlighting the extensive reach of their recent healthcare initiatives, Bhowmik stated, “This camp marks the fifth medical camp organized by the unit over the past week at different spots like Akhran, Mirbazar, Vessu, KP Colony Vessu, and now at Sadura.” He further disclosed that approximately 1250 patients received free medical check-ups, consultations, and medicines during this week-long series of camps.
The CRPF’s consistent dedication to community health continues to earn appreciation from the local population, reinforcing the positive impact of such initiatives in fostering a healthier and stronger society.
