Srinagar Jan 22 (KINS): The administration under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been actively empowering the youth and appointing young officers to key positions in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The government allocates postings to officers according to their performance, rewarding those who excel with desirable assignments. The clear message from the government is a stern warning, either deliver results or face consequences, signaling a commitment to eliminating inefficiency,” a senior official told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
To empower the youth and instigate a wave of transformation, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s administration in Jammu and Kashmir recently has strategically appointed young officers to pivotal positions.
Dr. Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat, now at the helm of DC Srinagar, swiftly initiated government developments in the city upon assuming office. Simultaneously, Athar Aamir Khan, praised for his role in Srinagar’s Smart City transformation, transitioned to DC Kulgam, prioritizing various developmental matters.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, as Administrative Secretary for the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, stands as a beacon of dedication to teamwork and transparency. Similarly, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid, Administrative Secretary for Health and Medical Education, spearheads vital initiatives for the department’s well-being.
Key positions are also held by individuals like Mohammad Aijaz, who oversees Planning Development and Monitoring, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, the CEO of J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency, Faz Lul Haseeb in DC Shopian, Basharat Qayoom in DC Pulwama, Akshay Labroo in DC Budgam, and Ayushi Sudan in DC Kupwara – each contributing significantly to the betterment of their respective districts.
Owais Ahmad, Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and Shyambir, DC in Ganderbal, play pivotal roles in local governance. Owais Ahmad’s dual role as Commissioner SMC and CEO Srinagar Smart City Limited underscores the administration’s dynamism in pushing forward initiatives for the betterment of Srinagar city.
Officials report that over the past three years under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s leadership, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed notable advancements across various sectors. The focus on road infrastructure, attracting investments, and generating employment opportunities has not only benefited citizens in remote areas but has also enhanced tourism potential and linked crucial commercial hubs, contributing to overall prosperity and well-being in the Union Territory.(KINS)
