SMC Clears 82% of Snow in Srinagar City: Ensures Accessibility Across Public Spaces

Srinagar, Feb 01:The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has reported clearing 82% of the snow from different areas of Srinagar City.
In a comprehensive operation spanning public and religious locations, hospitals, sidewalks, pavements, and lanes/bylanes, SMC personnel have employed both mechanical and manual methods to ensure accessibility for residents.
Highlighting the corporation’s commitment to effective snow management, an official from SMC reiterated their dedication to maintaining essential services despite adverse weather conditions. “Every effort has been made to clear snow from vital areas crucial for public mobility and emergency services,” stated the official.

The relentless efforts of SMC staff have resulted in the timely clearance of snow, minimizing disruptions to daily life and facilitating the movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
“We are prepared to confront any weather condition and are fully equipped to address the needs of the community,” affirmed the SMC official. The corporation’s proactive approach underscores its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Srinagar residents.
