Operations of 2 medical establishments closed down at Kokernag

Srinagar July 19 (KINS): With a view to strengthen the regulatory enforcement, Drug Control Organization Anantnag Friday inspected peripheral areas of Kokernag including Khalar, Nagam, Vailoo, Soyan, Devalgam, Mathadoo Matigavran.

“Almost 20 medical sale establishments were inspected and almost all establishments were found to be compliant however, operation of two retail drug sale establishments M/s Naikoo Medical Store Nagam and Mehboobul- Ul Alam Medical Store Nagam was disallowed onspot for violating the conditions of licences. The chemists of area were impressed to adopt Good pharmacy practices, Good Storage conditions and to follow the circulars and guidelines issued from time to time by Drug Control organistaion and the District Administration in letter and spirit,” a statement of Drug Control Organization Anantnag said.

The statement said that chemists were warned of stringent action including permanent cancellation of their licences incase of violations under Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules thereunder.
