PET scan & MRI services restored at SKIMS Soura after technical snag

Srinagar, Sep 09 (KINS): The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has announced the restoration of its PET scan and MRI services, which had been temporarily halted due to a technical snag.
The disruption, which affected patients relying on these critical diagnostic tools, has now been resolved, and both facilities are fully operational once again.
SKIMS assured the public that the technical issues have been rectified, allowing the resumption of these essential services.
Hospital authorities acknowledged the inconvenience caused to patients during the downtime but emphasized that efforts are being made to accommodate all those whose appointments were delayed.
“Patients who had their scans postponed are being contacted by the department in order of their original appointment schedule,” SKIMS noted as per news agency KINS, adding that they are working to ensure minimal further delays.
Both the PET Scan and MRI services are vital for diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions, from cancer to neurological disorders.(KINS)
