Light snow predicted for higher reaches of J&K starting October 23

Srinagar, Oct 17 ( KINS) : The Meteorological Department in Srinagar has announced the forecast of light snow over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir beginning October 23.

The MeT has advised farmers to proceed with harvesting and ensure the safe storage of their crops, while also encouraging other farm operations. At the same time, tourists and trekkers are urged to plan their journeys carefully for October 24 and 25.

According to the MeT, generally dry weather is expected from October 17 to 22. On October 23, conditions will shift to generally cloudy weather with light rain, and isolated light snow in the higher reaches by evening or night.

From October 24 to 25, the forecast indicates continued cloudy conditions with the possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by light snow in the higher altitudes
