Deputy CM to chair key J&K Industries review meeting tomorrow

Srinagar, Oct 22 (KINS): Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, who also holds the portfolio of Industries and Commerce department, will chair a crucial review meeting tomorrow at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar.
The meeting, scheduled for 3:00 PM at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar, will focus on reviewing the industrial progress in Jammu and Kashmir, with a particular emphasis on development and investment in various sectors.
News agency KINS reported that officials from key departments, including Managing Directors of JKTPO, SIDCO/SICOP, and Directors of Industries and Commerce from Kashmir and Jammu, as well as heads of several government-owned corporations, have been instructed to attend.
These corporations, many of which are facing financial challenges, will be a primary topic of discussion.
The meeting will also be held virtually for officials at the Jammu Secretariat.
A source within the Civil Secretariat revealed that the agenda includes addressing the critical issues of loss-making government corporations and evaluating strategies to revitalize them.
Additionally, participants will assess current investment initiatives and explore opportunities to attract new investments into Jammu and Kashmir’s industrial sectors.
The meeting will also highlight the importance of supporting small and medium industries to drive economic growth in the Union Territory.(KINS)
