Rajouri-Nowshera highway nears completion

KINS DESK

Srinagar, Oct 24 (KINS): The much-awaited Rajouri-Nowshera highway is almost finished and is set to greatly improve travel in the border district.
News agency KINS reported that this important road project includes nine new bridges, one of which is 300 meters long, and a tunnel, all designed to make travel faster and safer in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials have confirmed that the project, which has been under construction for several years, is in its final stages.
The new bridges, built to handle heavy traffic and tough weather, will make it much easier to travel between Rajouri and Nowshera. The 300-meter bridge is a significant achievement, making travel across difficult areas smoother.
Additionally, a modern tunnel has been built to bypass tricky mountain sections, cutting down travel time and ensuring the road stays open all year.
The upgraded highway is expected to boost local business, tourism, and make life easier for residents, while also improving important defense routes in the region.
The highway is expected to be officially opened in the coming months, marking a major step forward in Jammu and Kashmir’s infrastructure development.(KINS)
