Two CRPF jawans and two policemen injured in Srinagar encounter

Srinagar, November 2 : An encounter in the Khanyar area of Srinagar resulted in injuries to two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans and two policemen. The incident occurred during a cordon and search operation launched by security forces following reports of terrorist presence in the area.

According to officials, the operation escalated into an exchange of gunfire after terrorists opened fire on the search party. The injured personnel were promptly transported to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

In a related development, security forces gunned down two terrorists in an ongoing operation near Halkan Gali in the Shangus-Larnoo area of Anantnag district. Operations are still underway as authorities work to ensure the safety of the region.
