Srinagar, Nov 04 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party President Sat Sharma Monday said that the BJP will block any move or reference in the Assembly on Article 370.
News agency KINS reported that the BJP President said that all 28 BJP MLAs opposed a resolution brought forward by one of the MLAs seeking the article’s reinstatement.
Sat Sharma added that while some people do not want peace in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP will not let them succeed.
Meanwhile Chander Prakash Ganga, BJP MLA from Vijaypur, asserted that Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, is a matter of the past and cannot be reinstated.
Prakash as per news agency KINS said that if any resolution is introduced in the Assembly favoring the restoration of Article 370, the BJP will “oppose it with full strength.’
“The BJP is the largest party in terms of vote share, and we are committed to working for the welfare of the people.”
Prakash further stated that the BJP’s actions will always align with the Constitution, adding, “We will never allow anything against constitutional principles”.(KINS)
