PDP Legislator Waheed asks LA to pass resolution for restoration of Article 370

Srinagar Nov 04 (KINS): PDP legislator Waheed ur Rehman Parra on Monday requested the Legislative Assembly to pass a resolution seeking the restoration of Article 370.

“I request the Assembly to pass a resolution for the restoration of Article 370,” Waheed said while also handing over PDP’s resolution to the Speaker.

As soon as Parra began speaking, BJP legislators stood up and urged the Speaker to expunge Waheed’s words. However, Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather advised the BJP leaders to leave it to him, saying, “You can’t dictate terms to the Speaker.”

Then there was a war of words between ruling and opposition legislators. (KINS)
