Major General A.P.S. Bal assumes command of Delta Force in Chenab Valley

Jammu , Nov 05 ( KINS) Major General A.P.S. Bal has officially taken over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Counter-Insurgency Force (CIF) ‘Delta’ in the Chenab Valley region of Jammu and Kashmir. The transfer of command from Major General Upkar Chander occurred on Tuesday, with the Army’s White Knight Corps confirming the news in a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Following tradition, Major General Bal paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the local war memorial. He extended well-wishes to the troops and emphasized the importance of maintaining high operational standards. The Delta Force, headquartered in Batote, was established on September 5, 1994, and has been a pivotal unit in counter-insurgency operations across the districts of Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir.( KINS) .
